About the event

Transit normally connects over 1.6 million people in B.C. Even during these times, more than 75,000 people rely on transit to maintain COVID-19 essential services.

But the future of public transit is uncertain. Since April 22, transit cuts have reduced service on buses and skytrains by 20 to 40 per cent. Students, commuters, people with disabilities, families and seniors depend on transit for their daily mobility, but the service they depend on is at risk.

How threatened is our transit system? What does running out of money look like for transit riders next week or next year?

Share your questions and get answers at Where Did All the Buses Go?, an online conversation featuring a panel of transit and mobility experts including:

Jonathan Cote, Chair, Mayors’ Council, TransLink and Mayor of New Westminster

Heather McCain, Founder/Executive Director, Creating Accessible Neighborhoods

Tanysha Klassen, Chairperson, BC Federation of Students

Jude Crasta, Program Manager, Moving in a Livable Region

and more!
