About the event
Join us for a lively discussion to explore the concept of CIVIC engagement for newcomer residents in Surrey. How do immigrants learn about volunteer leadership opportunities? How do they participate in civic affairs? What would help immigrant residents to get more involved in their community?
About the Philosophers' Café
Philosophers’ Café is a series of informal public discussions in libraries, cafés and restaurants throughout Metro Vancouver. The cafés, which are open to everyone, have brought dialogue and discussion to thousands of people who are interested in exploring issues from the absurd to the sublime.
