VIVA Granville hosts homegrown art, live music, performances, street markets, and more every weekend in the summer! This week, come enjoy hugs and dancing.

This Saturday step off the sidewalks onto Granville Street to experience:

Hug Therapy, by West Coast Hug Emporium

(11:00am to 4:00pm, 700-block Granville Street between West Georgia and Robson streets)

The West Coast Hug Emporium is an interactive social experiment devoted to delivering compassionate, respectful, 100% inclusive, free hug therapy to all willing participants. Spot a WCHE booth on Granville Street, and find a fun-loving Hug Advisor with a “hug menu”.

Breakdancing, by DRS Boys

(1:00pm to 4:00pm, 800-block Granville Street between Robson and Smithe streets)

The DRS Boys is an award-winning breakdancing crew made of young and talented B-Boys. Their high-energy performances feature:

  • Dynamic tricks
  • Dance routines
  • Quick lessons on breakdance fundamentals for all ages

Flamenco dancing, by Flamenco Rosario

(5:00pm to 7:00pm, 700-block Granville Street between West Georgia and Robson streets)

Flamenco Rosario will be introducing Flamenco dance and music on the street. Get ready to step to the beat, clap your hands and learn a few dance moves!
