The Lumière Festival aims to brighten up the typically grey and rainy Vancouver in December. Our hope is to create an event that will delight people with its beauty, bring people of all ages into the downtown core for a special weekend of festivities that will encapsulate outdoor art and innovative illuminations in the most impressive and festive form. The Lumière Festival will be a showcase of light installations and lighting extravagances by local and international light artists.

As human beings, we are drawn to light; we see joy and wonder in sparkle and twinkle and when done in this most professional way, light makes a beautiful city even more awe-inspiring. Our vision is to grow this winter event into a long-standing annual tradition that will bring together communities and reinforce our reputation as a spectacular world-class city.
