About the event

You are invited to join a Public Open House on September 14th for the opening of "GHETTO: How Can We Live Together" at the Museum of Vancouver.

Deadline to RSVP: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 5:00pm

With food, drinks and music!

GHETTO, created by Henriquez Partners Architects, is a theoretical rezoning project that imagines a physical conduit for redistributing wealth from tourists through the sale of timeshare units to fund refugee housing in Venice, and now in Vancouver. The exhibition aims to encourage meaningful dialogue on our collective responsibility to care for one another through the creation of inclusive cities.

Henriquez Partners’ GHETTO exhibition and Open House at the Museum of Vancouver is a joint collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, ECC and MOV, with SFU Public Square supporting the public facing Open House.

GHETTO was originally exhibited at the 2021 ECC Venice Architecture Biennale, the Art Gallery of Ontario Annex in 2022, and will be on display at the MOV from August 23 to November 12, 2023. GHETTO has been honoured with awards from the European Cultural Centre, Architecture MasterPrize, Architizer A+ and Azure Magazine.
