About the event

Over the last four summers, the 800-block of Robson Street has been home to delightful installations of giant bean bags, waves of yellow shag, multi shaped picnic tables, and a curvy urban reef. But transforming public space is not easy, especially when it comes to road closures. Join Scott Edwards, Manager of Street Activities for the City of Vancouver, in a Talk and Tour of the Robson Redux Design Exhibition that goes behind the scenes and below the surface of this uniquely Vancouver public space design competition. Learn about some of the grounding philosophical principles and civic aspirations of the project as well as the genesis and evolution of the design-build competition.
