Olympic Village Green Rainwater Infrastructure

Explore nature-based and water-sensitive design in the Olympic Village Neighbourhood in this Jane's Walk.

Walk Description: The Olympic Village was built as athlete housing for the 2021 Winter Olympics. This award winning compact urban village features green roofs, water harvest / re-use and a wide variety of public green rainwater infrastructure. A fun walk on the edge of False Creek!

Walk Leader: As a Landscape Architect and Urban Planner Cameron is keenly interested in the role of landscape scale interventions and urban ecology on people's lives in the city. Cameron is the Planning Policy Lead for the City of Vancouver’s Rain City Strategy in the Urban Watersheds and Flood Division.

Starting place: Olympic Village Plaza near the Large Sparrow Sculpture.

How to recognize your walk leader(s): I'll wear my blue and red ball cap.
