About the event

Enough with COVID already. Let's gather and talk about some of the positive things that are happening in our lives, practice, and community.

By all indications, it seems like this time of unprecedented challenges is winding down. It’s time to start asking ourselves what we want life to look like on the other side. For most of us, our personal and professional lives changed dramatically over the last year in ways that weren’t exclusively bad. As we regroup and take stock, let’s ask ourselves, What do we want to keep?

For this third installment of Connections and Cocktails, you’re invited to join your friends and peers from the architecture, engineering and construction industry for an informal and engaging virtual gathering with sharing, conversation and games!! That’s right—THIS ISN’T ANOTHER ZOOM EVENT! In the spirit of recognizing the changes that have actually improved our lives, this event will be hosted on SpatialChat, a platform that gives you the power to move freely between rooms, curate your own activities and conversations, and even play games (with prizes!!).

When you consider the question “What do we want to keep?”, what comes to mind? What real improvements have you noticed in the world, your work, yourself that you’d rather not give up? In preparation for the event, take a minute to gather some images of maximum three things from the pandemic that you’d like to keep, and three things you’re happy to dump. You’ll have the opportunity to share them during the event, or you can get started early by posting them to this Miro Board.

So mix yourself a cocktail and join us!
