Adaptation for Modern Living

Back for its 8th year, the Vancouver Special House Tour is a chance to explore Vancouver’s very own housing style. See how these and other homes can lend themselves to adaptation to modern living. In 2016, we will look at traditional modernized Vancouver Specials, including an early example with several design nods to the Mid-Century Modern movement, as well as an example of other housing types modified in a similar way to fit modern lifestyles. The tour is sure to serve as inspiration for the potential found in humble housing styles across the city.
