About the event

hosted by The Canadian Disability Participation Project

We would like to invite you to an interactive event to join the conversation on mobility experiences and social inclusion of people living with disabilities, seniors, and people using mobility devices in our cities to create more inclusive communities. Our research team would like to share the results of a large study that we conducted across the greater Vancouver area, and start a dialogue between different stakeholders, including our participants, people having mobility challenges, city planners and decision makers, and the general public.

This event will be an opportunity to discuss about barriers and facilitators for mobility and participation in the community with a focus on solutions and priorities.

Presentations include videos, an exhibit showcasing photos taken by mobility device users around North Vancouver, Vancouver and New Westminster. You will have an opportunity to engage in a dialogue through an interactive game about mobility and participation.
