Speak of the City
Aug 3
06:00 PM - 09:00 PM
This event is: Public
Admission Fee: Free

About the event

A FREE all-ages event with interactive stations to learn more about different topics like mobility, public hearings and dialogue.

Got a lot of thoughts about what it’s like living and getting around on the North Shore? Looking for a casual, family-friendly event to meet new people, decompress, relax and learn stuff, eat, or simply have a laugh? Yeah, us too! That’s why we’re hosting Speak of the City: North Shore -- an evening organized by Moving in a Livable Region, an initiative of the SFU Centre for Dialogue.

We’re meeting at the Pipe Shop Venue (115 Victory Ship Way in the North Van Shipyards area) on August 3rd from 6 pm. There’s going to be plenty of food and activities for kids; there’s seating all round if you want to hang back with friends, a mini-labyrinth with interactive stations to learn more about different topics like mobility, public hearings, etc., a digital photo booth, graffiti wall, socializing options, and other fun activities on-site.

This is a completely FREE event to attend; you can bring your family and friends or check it out yourself. Our goal is to create more fun, chill community spaces for us to all come together again, while learning and discussing things that we talk about all the time anyway!

Plus, what better way to spend a west coast summer evening than a sunset at the Shipyards!
