About the event

Registration is open for Renovate the Public Hearing's National Dialogue on Public Hearings, Land Use and Democracy on Friday January 26 from 4pm-6pm (PST). This free in-person and online event will bring together voices from across Canada to share perspectives on what a truly democratic process for land use planning could look like. This event will be moderated by Christine Boyle, City Councillor at the City of Vancouver, and feature panelists Nadine Nakagawa, City Councillor at the City of New Westminster, Dennis Thomas-Whonoak, elected Councillor of Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Courtney Walcott, Councillor at the City of Calgary, Giulio Cescato, Director of Planning and Urban Design at the City of Markham, and Malorie Flon, Directrice générale at the Institut du Nouveau Monde.
