About the event

Interested in running in the Vancouver municipal election this October 2018? Learn what to expect in a “Candidate 101” info session, hosted by the City of Vancouver’s election office!

What you'll learn

The session will cover:

  • duties and time commitments of elected officials
  • important details about the 2018 election process

Vancouver’s Chief Election Officer Rosemary Hagiwara will lead each session, joined by staff from the Park Board and the BC School Trustee Association.

Session details

An evening weekday session on July 3 and a weekend session on July 14 are planned. The sessions are identical, so choose one session to attend.

Please note that registration is not necessary for the Candidate 101 sessions, but will help the City better plan seating, handouts, and other accommodations for attendees, as well as providing convenient reminders for those who attend.
