About the event

Join PIBC’s South Coast Chapter for a "behind the scenes" exploration of the planning, placemaking, and sustainability of craft brewing.
We will start with a tour of one of Vancouver's newest craft breweries, Luppolo Brewing Company, along with insight on what it took to get the brewery started. Then, Tom Lancaster from Metro Vancouver will present thoughts on "craft beer urbanism" - how breweries create place and community. Finally, Andrea Winkler from Metro Vancouver will explain some opportunities and challenges for brewery sustainability, specifically for our regional wastewater system.
Please bring your questions, curiosity, and discerning tasting palate! Presentations will be interspersed with tastings, and refreshments will be served.
