About the event

A side of Vancouver you’ve never seen before:

The Architectural Institute of British Columbia offers six stunning architectural perspectives of Vancouver through its summer walking tour program.

Where do the tours start?
Tours begin at various locations throughout the city. Check the tour descriptions closely and keep your eyes open for the AIBC logo and your tour guide.

How much do tours cost?
The cost for each tour is $10 per person. We accept cash on the day of the tour or you can call the AIBC ahead of time and use your Visa or MasterCard. Check out the 2015 Pre-paid Tour Card.

What should I bring with me?
Comfortable walking shoes and loose fitting clothing are recommended. Check the weather and dress appropriately. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat on sunny days. A light jacket and an umbrella are good ideas if it is raining.

Is there a size limit for tours?
Tours are limited to 20 people, determined on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long is each tour and how far do we walk?
Tours are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long. We recommend arriving at the tour start location at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Depending on which tour you choose, we walk distances of up to 3 km (2 mi). All tours are wheelchair accessible.

Are the tours appropriate for children?
Yes. All of our tours are suitable for children, although some of the material may not keep their attention. Please ensure that your children are prepared for the weather and are able to walk the required distance. A parent or guardian must accompany children.

Do you offer private or group tours?
Yes. We are usually able to accommodate tour groups of all kinds. Please contact the AIBC in advance to arrange a tour for your group. Pricing guidelines are available upon request.
